Green Tourmaline Carving 25.2ct

"Dark Glade" A 25.23ct carving in natural green nigerian tourmaline offsets a smooth face with two staggered grooves that trace natural crystal lines against a series of smooth ridges.   This creates an effect that to me is reminiscent of blades of grass in the dark of a forest glade, the colours very typical of the deep forests around my home.  The flatish profile of the carving gives a large surface are of approx. 26mm x 15mm.  This would make a great centrepiece in a totally unique work.
