Glorious Dawn Brooch

This brooch represents a flower bud opening to the sun on a cool morning with morning dew running down it's outer petals. The centrepiece and inspiration for this brooch is a stunning organic hand carved Brazilian citrine. Set in oxidised sterling silver the piece then progresses in many layers in different metals representing the layers of a flower. Contrasting colours of the metals of construction and plating as well as satin and polished finishes give the layers depth and complexity. The outer most set of petals are flush set with hand mined blue Tasmanian sapphires in dew like streaks that run down the petals.
