Custom Jewellery Process
Each custom piece starts with an idea or a gem. Whether you select a gem from the available gems or we decide to custom cut you a piece/s for the jewellery creation that you have in mind both of these items begin the process.
Whether your preference is to have a gem cut or use one of the available gem options the first step in the process is to sketch a concept of the jewellery piece we are going to create. We will discuss size, style, design, the gem and your metals of choice to land on final concept from which a budget range can be estimated. At this point if you are happy to proceed I will invoice you a non-refundable deposit that covers detailed design time and some of my direct input costs.

Detailed Design
Once your gem is finalised it is scanned in 3D and detailed design is undertaken. In this part of the process the concept is brought to life and all aesthetic and practical considerations for your creation are finalised down the to final detail. If any trade-offs of design versus practical considerations need to be considered these will be discussed with you during this phase of the project. A final approval of the design will be sought at the end of this stage prior to making your creation in precious metal and stone.

Completion and Delivery
After final approval your piece is sent for casting in 100% recycled precious metal. All of the finishing, gem setting and detailing is completed by myself at my studio. Once your creation is complete you will be sent a video of the finished work and a final invoice will be issued for the balance outstanding. Once payment is received your piece has it's certificates issued and it is packaged and sent directly to your address.
Pieces typically take 6-8 weeks from concept to final piece to complete. For larger or more involved pieces this may be longer. If you require faster turn around please note this in your initial enquiry.
I look forward to hearing from you and creating your special piece together. Please feel free to peruse available gems in the customs menu for inspiration.
